Hilary Duff likes Vanessa
In a recent feature it is stated that Hilary Duff's her new CD, Metamorphosis, is partially influenced by Vanessa!
Duff's CD is heavily influenced by her own collection. "I love Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton and Britney Spears," she says.

We've just received word from Vanessa's management that she will not be playing the Farm Aid Benefit in Columbus, OH this weekend. She has a throat infection and cannot sing. So, let's all hope that Vanessa gets better soon!

MTV.com: Members of Third Eye Blind and Guns N' Roses are helping Kimya Dawson, one half of quirky anti-folk duo the Moldy Peaches, record her follow-up to last year's I'm Sorry That Sometimes I'm Mean. 3EB's Arion Salazar plays bass on the effort, while GN'R drummer Brian "Brain" Mantia, also of Primus fame, sits behind the kit. 3EB singer Stephan Jenkins and his girlfriend Vanessa Carlton contribute backing vocals to the album, which is due in January.

Vanessa to sing National Anthem at MLB All-Star Game
Vanessa will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Major League Baseball's All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 15 in Chicago. TV coverage will begin at 8:00 PM on FOX. In addition to singing the national anthem, Vanessa will also perform at private Major League Baseball All-Star Game events and parties throughout the 2003 All-Star Week celebration. Vanessa to judge songwriting competition
'NSYNC and Vanessa Carlton will judge the new teen category in the annual International Songwriting Competition. The winner for Best Song in the Teen Category will win a full scholarship to the 2004 5-week Summer Performance Program at

Vanessa out on the town
Vanessa attended the Premiere Party for "Rock Bodies" Presented by VH1 and Self Magazine last night in New York City. There are a ton of pictures from this event, and I will slowly be adding them (including HQ images) throughout the day, so keep checking back! Also Vanessa was present as the TJ Martell Foundation Presented MTV's Judy McGrath with the Humanitarian Award on Monday. Pictures from that event are on the way also!

Vanessa shows support for 3EB
Vanessa Carlton dropped by Virgin Records last week to pick up a half-dozen Third Eye Blind CDs. Her boyfriend, Stephan Jenkins, is Third Eye's lead singer. "Don't you get freebees?" asked a sales staffer. "I'm just supporting the band," smiled Vanessa, as she signed Virgin's Wall of Fame. This means, of course, that Stephan has to buy some of her albums. ...

BMI Salutes Top Names in Music at 51st Annual Pop Awards

Vanessa will debut a new song for the racing video game "SpyHunter 2" tomorrow at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles at 4:30PM. Nessa's contribution is the game's theme song. For more info, visit midway.com.

As you all probably know, Vanessa will be featured on an episode of MTV's new series, Duets. Her episode is #3. Vanessa reported from the Jt LeRoy reading on the 17th that she will be heading back into the studio in June to start recording her followup to last year's platinum hit, Be Not Nobody! She also told ET that she hoped the album would be released in November.

Vanessa and Lucy Woodward Team Up!
Vanessa and Lucy Woodward have been named the new faces of the 3rd Annual Pantene Pro-Voice Competition. The Pantene Pro-Voice competition gives young aspiring artists the opportunity to compete for a demo recording contract with Atlantic Records. Past participants have been Michelle Branch, Willa Ford, M2M, and Jewel. The concert will take place in July in Central Park (NYC). For more info, check out Pro-Voice.com after April 1.

Tour dates for Vanessa's headlining tour are already rolling out! It appears that Ben Lee is the "special guest" on the tour!
